A Few Winners

I picked up Tootlepedal just after 7:00 am and we headed off to put our photo entries into Canonbie Flower Show. There were plenty of exhibitors enthusiastically bustling about putting last minute touches to their exhibits. The rest of the day was wet and miserable which was a great pity for the show organizers after the excellent summer we've been having.

Later in the afternoon we returned to see how we had fared.  didn't win any special prizes but was successful with the following photos

First Prize
Black & White Photograph
(Any other Subject)

Second Prize

First Prize
Black and White Photograph
Birds/Animals

First Prize
Local Canonbie View

Second Prize
Black and White Photograph
Child/Children

  1. Of course the "intense sheep" picture won - how could it not?! Congratulations.

  2. They're all darn good but I think the second one down should have won first place. I can't quite figure out what it is, but it's excellent.

  3. That's Ian and John (aka the Dykeside Ramblers - 2/3rds of) having a tune in Kirkcudbright. That's where the second picture is too - it the old shed at the bottom of the garden at Greengate onthe High Street.

  4. Thanks for the information Sandy, they were excellent to listen too. The shed looked liked someone had walked out fifty years ago and nothing had been touched,a sheer delight.

  5. The sheep were certainly worthy winners. We'll have to get pictures into every class next year.

  6. Congratulations Sandy, I love the black and whites. My camera has a high resolution monochrome setting which I tried out on trees........not so good, I need another subject.
