A Short Break

Shot of the Day

I've just returned from a short break at Kirkcudbright as the guest of my cousin Colin Milligan and his wife Lesley. They are very kind hosts and made sure I had an enjoyable stay.
First stop was Stewartry Show

The future of the show seems to in safe hands

The sheep judging was very serious business

Working with wool

During my stay it was Kirkcudbright's Arts and Crafts Trail

Tin Lizzie

Rapunzel waits to be rescued

Maggie's Tours

Street entertainers of a very high quality

Stunning gardens.......

.........and stunning views.

There was enough time to visit Kirkcudbright lifeboat station ob Sunday before I headed home.

  2. The black and white photo of those showing the sheep is excellent - they look very, very intent on winning!

  4. Craft weekend in Kirkcudbright is a great occasion. I missed it due to the Wheelie Big Bike Show on Sunday and an appointment Monday. Maybe I'll get back next year.
Great set of pictures Sandy. You didn't bump into Sandy of the Witterings blog then ?

  5. I read Sandy's blog Jim and it was an excellent account of the trail. I plan to be across more often in future, now I've got family living in the area.
