No Time for Litter Louts.

I've spent good part of the summer building a new shed in the garden, I say new but it was mostly constructed from an old shed that we dismantled with the view of re-using as much material as possible.

This was all done with the help of Graham, we work well together bouncing ideas off each other as we did last year when the bungalow was getting renovated.

I had guests from New Zealand to stay recently for a few days. They are Dave & June Sinclair and June's sister Pearl. When they arrived at Langholm they had already been travelling for 90 days since leaving NZ and still had a month to go before returning home. Dave at  a spritely 83 drove their hire car for over 1600 miles all around the UK. They are currently touring Devon and Cornwall by coach. Unfortunately I don't have any photos of them to show.

The following are a few shots I took on my last visit to fill the feeders at the moorland feeder station.

I was most disappointed to find some discarded litter.......

.....upon my arrival. A rather thoughtless and unnecessary act one hopefully not to be repeated.

A depressed looking pheasant.

  1. What a shame about the litter. It is amazing that anyone could spoil such a good place but such a thoughtless action. I enjoyed your pictures of the birds.
