Shot of the Year

This is by far the most pleasing photo I took this year

After having coffee with Tootlepedal and Dropscone this morning I went to the archive centre and started putting information onto a excel worksheet for the next batch of photos that are ready to go onto the Langholm Archive website. This was rather tedious work but I managed to complete the batch I was working on. The next thing is to put them on line. 

This hasn't been the best of years for me by any means. Loosing Anne still hurts to the core and I expect it will for quite while yet. Saying that, there were some bright spots in the year. We both got great pleasure in watching the Queen's Jubilee celebrations and we were rooted to our chairs for a full fortnight watching what was in my view the best Olympic Games ever. These memories I'll treasure forever not because of the grandeur of the events but for the pleasure of watching them with a wonderful partner.
