Ebike Adventures

As there was no rain forecast until the afternoon I took the opportunity to go for a pedal. I headed off on the Westerkirk road undecided how far I would go. The conditions were quite favourable and managed to keep going at a steady pace and managed to get to Enzieholm bridge returning to the Benty by the way of Georgefield.

I stopped occasionally to take the odd shot and particularly  liked the way the light was reflected off the slate rocks at the quarry.

Looking back towards Castle Hill

Approaching Carlesgill

The dead grass on the roadside made an nice contrast.

One of the old GPO phone boxes, which I believe is under threat of removal.

A Brief stop at Enzieholm Bridge

Heading towards Georgefield.

Looking downriver from the Benty Bridge.....

....and looking up river.....

.....and of course The Benty, aka Bentpath.

I arrived home in time to respond to an invitation go to Wauchope Cottage for coffee, cake and biscuits with Mr & Mrs Tootlepedal, they were impressed with my end effort on my new bike and hopefully it's the start of Ebike adventures. Mrs Tootlepedal kindly supplied me with some rhubarb and potatoes from the garden before I went home. As my soup maker has a compote function I thought I'd experiment with the rhubarb. The result was very pleasant and it will go well with my porridge in the morning

    1. Just one of those local names I suppose, but when you see the beauty of it from a distance you can see why it was named, and thanks for the compliment.
