Charged With Duty
I was charged with the duty of entering Tootlepedals photos in the Langholm Show along with my own as he and Mrs Tootlepedal are languishing in the south of France on holiday. As you can see from Tootlepedals blog
Plenty of Action
I got down to the show field at about 8:30am and there was plenty of action going on with exhibitors staging their exhibits and tractors and impliments getting put in place and as it was a splendid morning everyone was in good spirits.
The Right Decision
After the recent rains the ground underfoot was rather soft and wellies were the fashion item of the day. As far as I had heard the committee ha taken the decision that the show must go on whatever the weather as after last years cancellation another would have been disastrous. In the scheme of things it was the right decision.
After doing my duty I returned home and put my good camera and equipment in the car and headed for Hermitage Castle. This meant travelling up the A7 for approximatlely 8 miles and turning off at Fiddleton Toll Bar. This leads from the Ewes valley over into Hermitage and though quite wild and remote offers some stunning views.

What a splendid post. Thank you very much for putting the pictures. I am most grateful. The pictures of Hermitage are lovely and the show looks very good in your pictures. I almost wish that I could have been there.
